The IA Security Specialist supports the Engineering Team by providing cybersecurity technical expertise and support to develop requirements and ensure compliance. Support includes providing technical input and insight related to the program and the Dashboard efforts, review of Request For Service (RFS), future capability and requirements definition, review of System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) deliverables and review of project change requests to provide technical scope recommendations. The IA specialist is responsible for assisting with providing oversight of the integrator and ensuring the cybersecurity related requirements of the RFS are met. The IA Security Specialist will need to understand IT System development as well as the requirements and acquisition process. This position will be providing technical oversight to ensure all proposed solutions align with approved cyber tools and products as well as meet established standards and policies Job Description The specialist will be responsible for attending technical meetings associated w/ self-assessment guidance. The individual will effectively and efficiently evaluate capability metrics and provide faster and more accurate evaluation of such data. Will assist in the development of self-assessment guidance that ensures objectivity, clarity, and uniformity for all capabilities with consideration of additional CISA provided risk mosaic view situational awareness metrics. Develops questions as part of the approach that will help assess the effectiveness of the metrics. Will assist in the development of user stories, maintain activities/task backlog; Research, analyze, and recommend best practices, or white papers. Draft, review, edit documents, COAs, and presentation slides. Take notes, or meetings notes as needed. Experience in the development of a timeline and strategy for full implementation of the risk program. Successful candidates will have an understanding of how to measure cybersecurity risk and be familiar with NIST controls, vulnerability assessments, FISMA and FISMA data, KEVs, and BODs. Minimum Requirements Familiarity with market leading enterprise IT and/or cybersecurity products and tools such as Splunk, Tenable, RSA Archer, IBM BigFix, Forescout, Sailpoint, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, etc. Familiarity with Agile development and Sprints. Minimum 2+years experience applying Systems Engineering principles to IT programs or large acquisition programs, conducting IA assessments or reviews of large programs, or Cybersecurity support. Bachelors' in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or similar discipline - Can Substitute five (5) years of enterprise IT or Cybersecurity experience for a degree in discipline other than above. MS Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
