GoldenGate Developer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local What You'll Get to Do: The System Integration Team integrating Increment II of the US Army's Integrated Personnel and Pay System (IPPS-A) is looking for a highly experienced GoldenGate Developer / Administrator. The selected candidate will join the Architecture Value Stream to support the GoldenGate Development & PL/SQL application needs. Typical GoldenGate activities include but are not limited to planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and development within GGMA. More About the Role: Developing and documenting technical and conceptual specifications in support of the overall usage of GoldenGate, PL/SQL, and Virtual Private Database (VPD); Supporting the ongoing design, development and operations of all IPPS-A environments and associated GoldenGate & PL/SQL applications; Planning, documenting, & directing setup, integration and maintenance of multiple GoldenGate & PL/SQL application installations Supporting, maintaining, & documenting the integrations with developed and internal applications; Supporting testing & Performance Testing, code packaging & code migration to various environments; Working closely with DBAs. application administrators, development, and test teams to define requirements, Develop creative solutions to complex problems, ensure data quality, and improve/streamline performance; Providing SME-level support as needed; Working closely with other developer disciplines, SMEs, and Testers using SAFe Agile; Working to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet program goals and deliverable objectives; Other tasks and activities as assigned or directed by the value stream lead. Experience with GoldenGate Microservices installation, setup, & configuration. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership; Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and is successful when working in Integrated Product Teams; You'll Bring These Qualifications: BA/BS degree and 7+ years of related experience; Current Secret Clearance required; SSBI preferred; Must have a current DOD 8570.01-M IAT Level II - Security+ (minimum); 3+ years hands-on experience using and supporting GoldenGate 12c and higher; 3+ years hands-on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting GoldenGate on Oracle RAC in a Unix environment; 3+ years hands-on experience configuring GoldenGate to support ongoing replication of large Oracle databases, preferably within a complex architecture; 3+ years hands-on experience configuring GoldenGate downstream mining and integrated components for active-active replication; 4+ years hands-on Oracle DBA experience in Solaris/Linux; 2+ years' experience with Unix shell scripting, SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experience; Solid understanding of Oracle databases, Exadata, and Solaris; Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration; Experience supporting reporting and other business processes using high-volume data sources across SDLC environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Prod). 3+ Years PL/SQL development experience 3+ Years VPD development experience .
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Hands-on experience performing GoldenGate upgrades, replication, error resolution, and restarts without data loss; Experience configuring GoldenGate adapters and connectors (e.g., JMS, Kafka); Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and tuning Oracle 12c/19c on Solaris & Linux; Knowledge of GoldenGate High Availability using Oracle DBFS and Data Guard; Knowledge of GoldenGate Studio or integrating with Oracle Enterprise Manager; Experience in detecting and resolving errors in GoldenGate active-active replication environments; Experience with GoldenGate Big Data or GoldenGate JMS is a big plus; Experience with DoD and/or GSA database security requirements; Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN); Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to solve problems quickly; Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple, often competing priorities. Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
