Responsibilities Location: Rosslyn, VA or Beltsville, MD. Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Visualization Lead to become part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton's DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton's DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. As the Data Visualization Lead, you need to have a deep understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices and strong research, analytical, and communication skills. You will collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and meet their reporting requirements. Key requirements will come in support of the Cyber Incident Response Team, to improve data availability and overall SOC operations. You will: Develop, Design, and Maintain a Cyber Analytics platform to support data driven decision making through high-performance data visualizations, reports and dashboards which effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience.
Support the development of dashboard views to support the information needs of CTS Directorate and Department at large, ensuring requirements are being met.
Perform requirements analysis and review related to stakeholder requirements for data analytics
Create and maintain source-to-target implementation documents
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data visualization and dashboard design. Qualifications Required: Minimum of 14 years with a BS/BA degree; OR 12 years with MS/MA degree; OR 9 years with a PhD.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Must possess ONE of the following certifications, OR ability to obtain prior to start date:
CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP, Security+ CE, Project+, Agile Scrummaster
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Data Bricks, etc.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
Experience with data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, etc. a plus). Experience within data integration and management. (ETL/Extract Transform Load)
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and best practices
U.S. citizenship required. An Active Secret security clearance. The ability to obtain a final TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years' experience working in Gov Cloud environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Leadership and project management capabilities.
Target Salary Range $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
