Job description

Tyto Athene has an opening for a Data Analyst to support the VAULT program. Position will apply a wide set of statistical, programming and/or engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, and specification development for systems and databases to support end user analysis. Responsible for recommendations of platform, end user AI/ML tools, design, quality assurance, and performance standards. Determines benefit of tradeoffs in recommended options in the areas of design cloud-based data repositories across domains that are discoverable, enabling publish subscribe approaches servicing various consumers across the DoD. These repositories contain data that consists of structured and unstructured data and where possible, this data will be meta tagged for further analytics and as well as fusion purposes. VAULT task orders will also propose machine learning and further enhanced artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to provide previously unrealized military utility in decision aides. Position will be required to work with the VAULT program to accomplish assigned task orders. Responsibilities: Performs data analysis of structured and unstructured data using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining. Determines best practices and develops actionable insights and recommendations for the current operations or issues. Works closely with the internal or external client to identify analytical requirements. May handle special analytical projects as needed. May assist in implementing or developing systems to capture operational information. May assist less experienced analysts. Required: Requires bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or engineering and 2-6 years of prior relevant experience Four or more years of experience in data analytics or a field relevant to the requirement. Experience in a data analytics, open-source tools, cloud computing, machine learning and data visualization Familiarity with the manipulation of unstructured data in a data analytics environment, and the use of open-source tools, cloud computing, machine learning and data visualization and appropriate, relevant programming languages. Desired: Ability to work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results Record of supporting teams to develop technical solutions requiring collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses, and understanding of impact on end-product/solution Strong written and verbal communication skills Previous experience with Department of Defense innovation initiatives and organizations (DARPA/AFRL/AFWERX/KESSEL RUN) Clearance: Secret Clearance After several strategic acquisitions in 2021, Tyto Athene has experienced enormous opportunity and growth.
