Job description
Role Overview: Marathon TS is seeking a Cloud Developer/Architect supporting a federal agency. In this role you will serve as the technical lead for the modernization Project Management Office (PMO) by assisting in instantiating, developing, deploying, and integrating cloud-based solutions and providing technical skills, insights, and recommendations for implementing solutions. Remote 2-3 days/week. Responsibilities: Provide cloud development support by instantiating environments, advising on services/infrastructure needed based on client requirements, and configuring environments Work closely with engineers to assist with the development, deployment, and integration of enterprise solutions and applications in cloud-based environments Work closely with engineers to create an automated Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Pipeline Ensure implementing build, deployment and monitoring standards are satisfied based security guidelines Participate in the technical planning, defining, and designing of the system/solution Provide system requirements, diagrams, wireframes, architecture drawings, and other documentation needed to complete the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process Define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context Facilitate the progress of the modernization effort by performing various Project Management Office related activities such as preparing, reviewing, updating, revising, and maintaining the project timeline, risk assessment, technical documents, deliverables, and other program-related documents at the direction of the PM and GPM Support the overall modernization effort by engaging both internal and external stakeholders and promoting project transparency, researching emerging technologies, and serving as a modernization liaison to the Agency Technical Skills and Requirements Required: Cloud development (e.g., AWS) Bachelor's degree- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Applied Science, Computing, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems (or another related discipline) and/or equivalent training/certifications and/or demonstrated systems engineering professional experience within the Federal Information Technology landscape 5 years' experience Nice to have: Previous Privileged User Account (PUA) experience or the ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) status Containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) DevOps tools (e.g., Confluence, Docker, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Jira, OpenShift, Primsa Cloud, Puppet, SonarQube) Performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX) Virtualization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box) Qualifications and Certifications: MUST HAVES Required: Active TS DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification Requirement and Computing Environment Certification Requirement AWS Certifications, such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, etc. Marathon TS is committed to the development of a creative, diverse and inclusive work environment.
