Job description
CSCI seeks a Chief of Staff/S&T Coordinator who will support the Office of Naval Research Code 31 for technical, programmatic, engineering, and acquisition support services in the following tasks: Science and Technology Planning, Management Support and Maintenance; Program Assessments; Wargame Participation; Future Naval Capability Program Support and Maintenance, Testing and Test Support, Systems Engineering and Integration Services; Liaison with Government, Academia and Industry as well as other government agencies and Department of Defense Branches. This position is on-site, Monday-Friday. The primary duty location will at ONR in Arlington, with an alternate worksite in Springfield. Responsibilities As one of the contributing team members, Chief of Staff/S&T Coordinator primary responsibilities include, but not limited to: Perform duties as the Chief of Staff for the program office, ensuring the day-to-day operation of this 40-person office and the completion of all its administrative functions. Work closely with the government administrative officer, executive assistant, and data manager. Ensure policies and procedures are disseminated. Monitors all taskers for the office through the Enterprise Access Management Service system. Reviews and routes taskers to appropriate PO(s). Monitors progress and incorporates responses to complete the tasker. Reports on status during Code 31 Leadership meetings and all hands. Participates in weekly meetings on Correspondence and Action Tracking with the ONR Executive Secretariat. Liaison with the C5ISRT representative from other services regarding upcoming coordination of S&T activities and facilitating collaboration and information sharing between the services. May participate as a member of The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP) Maritime Systems group addressing international coalition Science and Technology (S&T) efforts associated with above water operation in areas of C5ISRT. Ensure that all written content meets our company's standards and the customer's (U.S. Navy) standards. Verify information, including checking facts, reviewing resources, defining acronyms, and conducting additional research. Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, researchers, and developers to ensure document accuracy. Skills - Minimum of 12 Years Experience Required Qualifications: US Citizenship is required. BA/BS or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent. Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. Recent experience (last 3 years) in the development and execution of complex technical tasks, applying analytical problem-solving methodologies, interfacing with Government and prime contractor personnel, and effectively allocating resources. Recent experience (last 3 years) coordinating S&T development efforts with program schedules, performing technology assessments, and maintaining technology transition agreements. Recent experience (last 3 years) in assessing current requirements to assist in identifying technology development opportunities to address capability gaps. Recent experience (last 3 years) in developing technology roadmaps for the transition of S&T programs. 10 years of experience with military technology. 10 years of experience in developing, coordinating, and supporting Navy S&T programs. 10 years of experience with the transition of Naval R&D to the operational military. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and customer service skills. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be willing to actively communicate with co-workers, program leadership, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations. Preferred Qualifications: Prior military experience preferred, but not required. Experience as a Flag Aide or Military Deputy is preferred, but not required. Experience Levels: The following position qualifies as Level 5. LEVEL 5 - requires a minimum of 12 years related experience. Requirements - US Citizen / Top Secret/SCI Clearance Travel: Local travel U.S. Citizenship: Yes Minimum Clearance: Applicants are required to have, at a minimum, a TOP SECRET (TS) clearances with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.
