On our client's behalf, we seek a highly professional Armed Protective Security Officer to join the team in Arlington, VA. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of our client's facilities. The ideal candidate will have prior firearms experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Company:
My client is an industry-leading security company providing services to the U.S. Government. Many of the positions they offer require a Security Clearance (level depends on the position) or the ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance as a condition of employment. Responsibilities:
This is a full-time position working 36 to 40 hours a week during various shifts in Arlington, Virginia.
Security guards will be responsible for operating all security equipment, active barriers, intrusion detection systems, physical access control systems and closed-circuit television (CCTV), as applicable.
In addition, enforce all facility access control policies and process visitors as directed by verifying visitor's identification, contacting agency sponsors or escorts, issuing visitor passes, entering and maintaining data on visitor logs or automated visitor data base programs, and ensuring visitors are presented for appropriate personal and package screening. Required Qualifications:
Age & Education: Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
Experience: Must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
2 years of armed security experience within the last five years, OR
2 years of military or National Guard service (active or reserve), OR
Successful completion of state-certified law enforcement education and training, OR
Successful completion of police officer's standard training courses.
Firearms Experience: Prior experience with firearms is mandatory.
Clearance: DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance preferred. Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written fluency in English).
Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment.

Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
