Job description

Overview:
MPR is the leading US technical, engineering and management services firm, delivering innovative and difference-making services and solutions to clients across the country and worldwide. Based in Alexandria, VA, MPR's mission is to meaningfully shape the future through excellent and high value solutions delivered by industry leading professionals.

In 1964, Harry Mandil, Bob Panoff, and Ted Rockwell, three leaders who had been instrumental in the development of the US Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) under Admiral Rickover, set out to create a company built around technical excellence and the strong culture and values developed from their NNPP experience. MPR continues to achieve its mission 60 years later, by growing its impact, influencing client and industry success, and expanding its stable of top tier talent. "Punching above its weight" has always been a hallmark of MPR, providing the impact and achieving the outcomes of a firm multiple times the size of MPR.

MPR's focus is in three primary industries:

Power & Energy - "Keeping the lights on" and maintaining a reliable, resilient, and cost-effect power grid remains MPR's primary business area. MPR partners with industry clients (customers and suppliers) to develop, deploy, and operate innovative technologies that achieve those outcomes through the de-carbonization of the energy landscape. MPR subject matter experts are leaders shaping the future of our power system. Industry-leading expertise and insight in nuclear energy, advanced reactor technology and deployment, renewables, energy storage, hydrogen, natural gas, and transmission & distribution enable MPR to make outsized contributions in this rapidly changing - and critically important - environment.

Federal Government - MPR experts and difference-makers partner with Federal clients in DOE, DOD, and DHS to manage, oversee, and deliver some of the most strategically important programs in the Federal Government. With a focus on security - national security and energy security, and recognizing the important relationship between them - MPR provides project management and risk management services and solutions which enable the US to maintain and strengthen its worldwide leadership in technology and defense.

Health & Life Sciences - MPR's innovative engineers and designers develop and deliver cutting edge medical products and devices for diagnosis and treatment that are improving health outcomes, reducing health care costs, and making health care easier and more effective. With a focus on innovation through technology coupled with a game-changing vision of the future health care landscape, MPR is designing products that improve health outcomes and benefit our entire society.

MPR achieves these outcomes and impacts building on core values of excellence, accountability, integrity, teamwork, and leadership, and prioritizing on three core areas of services and solutions that are applied across all our business areas:

Product Development - The design, testing, demonstration, and deployment of innovative products and solutions that move clients and industry forward and provide increased capabilities and value.

Asset Management & Reliability - Bringing industry leading technical expertise to the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure and facilities to ensure performance at the levels demanded by customers and society.

Project Execution & Risk Management - Understanding and characterizing the needs, threats, and opportunities involved to plan and deliver complex capital assets, providing the execution and risk management plans and strategies, and then providing the services and support to enable successful delivery and completion.

MPR's business landscape and impact continue to expand, driven by an increasing stable of premier clients seeking to partner with MPR to address their most important and challenging opportunities and problems. That foundation creates a firm foundation to capture an even brighter and more impactful future.
