Job description
Mayvin is seeking a Proposal Coordinator/Technical Writer to join our Business Development team. The individual will be responsible for the preparation and submission of proposals in response to Federal Civilian and Department of Defense Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), as well as white papers. This position is an integral member of the business development team and works closely with the proposal team, capture managers, subject matter experts, and technical staff to develop high-quality, compelling, and compliant proposals. The Proposal Coordinator/Technical Writer ensures that all aspects of the proposal process are well-organized, meets deadlines, and aligns with solicitation requirements and company standards. This role requires a skilled writer with a strong attention to detail and the ability to craft persuasive, clear, and compliant proposal content. The candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual and have strong organizations skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Must have a professional demeanor with the ability to interact with senior staff and Government customers. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must undergo background ingestion. Active SECRET clearance preferred. Responsibilities: Proposal Development: Assist in the preparation and coordination of proposals, ensuring compliance with RFP requirements, deadlines, and internal guidelines Content Planning and Writing: Coordinate content planning and guide writers through their proposal sections/volumes in response to multi-phase and quick-turn government RFPs, including writing sections Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, program managers, pricing, and operations to gather and merge information for proposals Document Management: Create and maintain proposal libraries, templates, and artifacts such as volume outlines, kickoff slides, compliance matrices, color team review worksheets, etc. to ensure all proposal materials are organized and easily accessible in accordance with company policies and procedures Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposal content for clarity, coherence, and adherence to formatting and branding standards before submission Relationship Management: working with partners to manage engagement and guide them throughout the process, including educating and communicating to people our proposal processes Qualifications: Local to DC Metro Area Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal development, proposal writing, or a related role Knowledge of proposal lifecycle and compliance requirements, including RFP and government contract procedures Previous RFP and proposal process experience a must Excellent technical and persuasive writing skills, with a proven ability to interview experts and create content to include win themes, and discriminators to develop winning proposals Superior attention to detail and copy-editing expertise, with excellent Microsoft Word skills Familiarity with capture and proposal tools and techniques, such as Shipley or APMP methodologies, is a plus About Mavyin: Mayvin offers our employees an innovative culture, excellent benefits and amenities, an inclusive work environment, ongoing career development, and recognition and rewards to honor hard work.
