Overview Behavioral Health Technician ( Overnight) - Alexandria, VA Pay $19.00 - $24.00 per hour (DOE) Full-Time, Part-time ( 8pm-6am) Behavioral Health Technician: Creating Joy, Healing Generations Are you empathetic, patient, and committed to empowering adolescents on their journey towards sustainable mental wellness? As a Behavioral Health Technician , you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support adolescents ages (12-17) in their journey towards improved mental health and well-being. Every day you will participate and guide teens in experiential therapies like art, music, yoga, hiking, fitness, and a variety of other on and off campus activities. Your experience in emergency medical care and crisis management makes you uniquely qualified to transition into the Behavioral Health Technician role. Responsibilities Ensure Client Safety and Campus Safety

  • Provide overnight supervision of client emotional and physical safety Attend to the overnight security of the campus Encourage client engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs), chores, and coping skill applications Provide early intervention ahead of and during emotional and behavioral crises Maintain personal and professional boundaries Attend to Nightly Upkeep of Facilities and Administrative Tasks
  • Perform regular cleaning duties to support a clean and sanitized environment for client use, growth, and well-being Complete nightly documentation charts of client progress and supervision Routinely upload client paperwork into program databases Align and Operate within the Treatment Team's Approach for Each Client Attend to daily Treatment Team direction for updates on client treatment protocol application Communicate and collaborate with supervisors and clinicians regarding client issues and notable progress Document client progress notes daily Provide Quality and Engaging Client Services Encourage client engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs) and coping skill applications Coach and develop client social skills Plan and facilitate client activities in art, music, yoga, fitness, and a variety of other on and off campus activities Grow and Develop with the Residential Team! Practice a growth mindset with focus and application of the company core values Integrate specialized trainings Enjoy and contribute to ongoing professional development and growth Qualifications What do you bring to this position? Age: 21+ years of age or older Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required. Associates or bachelor's in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or related field is preferred. Skills: Quick decision-making skills and a growth mindset with a focus on Embarks core values. Experience: Min of 1 year of experience working with adolescent populations is preferred Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred, will provide training Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screen and federal and state background check in concordance with VA state laws.
