Description & Requirements Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Capacity Engineer in South Burlington, VT; Camp Springs, MD; or in a location to be determined upon offer acceptance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide performance analysis and reporting using New Relic, Riverbed, SolarWinds, and other tools for gathering metrics on network performance, dynamic networking mapping, and application monitoring to support and escalate tickets within SLAs/SLOs. Provide system health check technical reviews and provides recommendations and advice to USCIS for improvements in Central Processing Unit (CPU), memory, disk utilization, and capacity. provide recommendations to coordinate efforts between Development and Operations teams to ensure clear communication and maintain stakeholder engagement. Maintain performance tools by testing and applying patches released by the vendor to keep tools up to date, and coordinate with stakeholders to upgrade tools when needed. Monitor WAN and take corrective actions to respond to issues. Identify strategic opportunities to provide automation by incorporating Ansible, Python, Chef, and other scripts to increase deployments, system checks, and security implementations. Use Cisco Prime Infrastructure to simplify management of the wired and wireless network environments and oversight of policy monitoring, and Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) for troubleshooting. Use Ansible Tower scripts to provide intelligent system solutions. Support application deployment issues, providing forensic analysis for web services for both Java (Java Virtual Machines) and .Net (.CLR) application environments. Analyze and identify technologies to enhance application performance and improve the user experience through advancements in software development, automated testing, release methodologies, external interface management, software security, mobile computing, data storage, and hosting environments. Provide application performance analysis and reporting both as regularly scheduled and on demand. Provide O&M support for government provided performance tools to include (but not limited to) the Riverbed Technologies suite, SolarWinds, and NewRelic. Provide Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) application metrics reporting, as needed to provide ad hoc reports and analysis. Provide technical review of application performance analysis provided by USCIS, and/or other USCIS contractors or stakeholders and provide recommendations for improvement. Assemble, lead, or participate in cross functional teams to analyze complex system problems using available tools. Team membership may span all available technical support. Provide reports for system CPU, memory, disk utilization, and capacity on a scheduled and ad hoc basis. Coordinate efforts between application development and operation teams to meet performance standards. Provide concise recommendations to the development and operation teams along with other stakeholders. Develop Riverbed (OPNET) AppInternals scripts (custom data adaptors or the current equivalent) to monitor and debug performance and stability problems. Develop JavaScript and maintain over 25 enterprise JavaScript dashboards. Provide Business Automation Development; JavaScript, Python, Node.js and React. Provide ServiceNow workflow, automation development and support. Develop and support Business Analytic Dashboards. Create Riverbed (OPNET), vCenter, Hyper-V and Amazon Web Services views, and/or dashboards that will provide application performance metrics to different stakeholders. Configure, establish, and utilize SNMP and NetFlow data within the Riverbed and SolarWinds products to provide performance metrics for workstations, servers, and network equipment. Provide O&M support to the USCIS network tools including, but not limited to, SolarWinds, New Relic, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, Ansible, Ansible tower, and Jenkins. Manage the performance repositories within the VMware vCenter, Riverbed (OPNET) and SolarWinds products to include providing backup procedures and patches for the operations and NOC groups respectively. Create SolarWinds reports for Wide Area Network (WAN) performance on a scheduled or ad-hoc reporting basis as a part of establishing enhanced automation. Diagnose and resolve application deployment and system problems for multi-tier systems. These web-based systems include both JAVA and .NET environments. Support for Platform Engineering and DevOps Integration. Diagnose and debug both Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and Microsoft CLR performance to include web services. Respond to performance tickets referred by the NOC and provide an after-action report (AAR) and incident analysis report (IAR) to the government once the ticket is resolved. Review and provide recommendations to government managers for USCIS. OneNet Change Requests that are reviewed at the Change Request boards. Create a tools analysis report and provide the government with recommendations on cost savings. Provide application performance monitoring to include New Relic APM, Synthetics, Insight, and Infrastructure. Use Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS Teams to provide transparency and allow information to be visible in real time and to create a unified backlog ensuring visibility into all areas of work and identifying inter-dependencies between teams. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant Networking experience. Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required. Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills Experience with major cloud providers preferred. Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills. CCNP, CCNA or equivalent experience Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts Experience supporting Government contracts Clearance Requirements: U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS Security Clearance Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability Current DHS EOD highly preferred Physical Requirements: Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,200.00-$134,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
