Job description

The Human Resources Generalist supports HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes empowerment and ongoing development of an engaged workforce. This position facilitates the implementation of services, policies and programs and assists and advises both employees and leaders. Knowledgeable in a range of functions including but not limited to Performance Management, Recruitment and Onboarding, Workforce Planning, Benefits and Compensation, Policies and Procedures, Labor and Employment Relations and Rewards & Recognition Programs. The HR Generalist is a key resource to the organization at large.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree with major coursework in HR management, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Work Experience

  • HR Generalist experience with an emphasis on Performance Management, Recruitment, Workforce Planning, Benefits, Compensation, Policies and Procedures.
  • Prior experience participating in community councils, committees and/or boards with Human Resources emphasis preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP or related Human Resources certification preferred.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a variety of socio/economic backgrounds.
  • Highly discreet, able to routinely handle confidential information.
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple Human Resource disciplines.
  • Flexible, team-player able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Influence and negotiation skills and abilities.
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with peers and all levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate Microsoft desktop application skills.

Salary Range: $54,600.00 - $85,000.00
