Sr. SQL Database Administrator
Salt Lake City, UT (hybrid)
6month contract to hire
Pay Range: $50.00 - $65.00per hr / Salary Target: $100K - $120K

Job Description:
Our client is looking for an expert in SQL Server design and development to provide leadership in creating and maintaining databases and data structures, interfacing with developers and users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deploy data storage and recovery solutions. This role involves leading the design, installation, configuration, and upgrading of database management systems, implementing performance tuning, optimization strategies, and advanced security measures. You will design and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans, troubleshoot complex database issues, and ensure databases are optimally maintained. Additionally, you'll support programming staff with best practices in query optimization, data storage, and SQL programming, while also providing technical leadership and training to other team members.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of recent SQL database administration experience
• Expert level skills with MS SQL Server databases
• Expertise with server side development, including web services, WCF and API
• Salesforce/Financial Force integrations and development
• Strong experience with SQL, C# and Javascript and other object-oriented programming

Bonus/Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical abilities
• Strong customer service attitude
• Proficiency with versioning tools, such as SVN or GIT
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field
