Job description

We are partnering with one of our top clients, a well-established manufacturer known for their precision engineering and commitment to quality. They are seeking talented CNC Machinist with experience in operating horizontal mills and lathes, for both Day shift and Swing shift. This role is crucial for producing high-precision parts based on engineering specifications.

Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have strong skills in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines, ensuring that all components meet the exacting standards of our client.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines, particularly horizontal mills and lathes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
• Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software as needed.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measurement tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including routine machine maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a focus on horizontal milling and turning operations.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Solid understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree or certification in CNC machining or a related field.
• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Benefits: Swing Shift positions include $4 per hour differential
