Job description

Job ID: 2018 The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Student Systems Administrator Assistant to work on advanced projects with System Administrators. This may include creating accounts, solution inventory and documentation, installing and configuring Microsoft, MacOS, Jamf, Linux, and other industry-standard software and hardware, and helping with conference room setup. Required Qualifications: Must be a USU, BATC, or WGU student pursuing a degree in computer science, business, or a related field Must have a minimum of one year remaining in school Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Reliable and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software Must be able to work a minimum of 15 to 20 hours over four days per week during the school year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer months Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Security+ certification Experience helping customers solve complex problems Experience with workstation and server hardware and software Experience with MacOS and Jamf Programming experience (i.e., Python, SQL) Student Scholar Program: SDL provides unique opportunities for student employees, such as hands-on experience and our Student Scholar program.
