Job ID: 1471 The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an experienced Accountant to perform a variety of accounting functions, primarily to invoice customers and be involved in company budgeting, reporting, and supporting other areas of the accounting team. Responsibilities include: Creating and submitting invoices and tracking to ensure timely payment Performing duties in, or providing backup for budgets, invoicing, fixed assets, service center charges, cash reconciliations, and other duties as assigned Data entry and reporting Providing support for audits Required Qualifications: BS in accounting 3+ years accounting experience Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting skills Intermediate skills with computer and Microsoft products, including Excel and Word Professional and effective communication skills Ability to prioritize and make accurate, timely decisions Experience with accounting software Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US Person Preferred Qualifications: MAcc or MBA degree Experience working in a non-profit or government setting At the SDL we support a variety of missions, including NASA's vision to reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind.
