Job Description BAE is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Minuteman Acquisition Transportation and Handling (MATH) program, within the Ground Mechanical Division. You will be part of a tight-knit team charged with supporting the development and acquisition of Minuteman III transportation and handling vehicles. Specifically, you will directly support the MATH Program engineer in acquiring the next generation Propulsion System Rocket Engine and Rocket Motor Semitrailer vehicles. You will assist the government customer in the review and assessment of the design, documentation, architectures, on-site program reviews and engineering products to meet acquisition requirements and timelines. As an experienced mechanical engineer, you will provide Advisory and Assistance Support to the customer, being the focal point for BAE Systems within the MATH acquisition program. This position requires the mechanical engineer to work with minimal direction, able to determine objectives and approaches to assignments, and be virtually self supervisory. Required Education, Experience, & Skills BS/MS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 7 years directly related experience (5 with MS degree). At least 3 years responsibility in providing technical leadership. Proven experience in cross program communication and collaboration. Self-directed, familiar with Air Force and Government processes. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills The ideal candidate will have most of the following experience: Experience as an aerospace/mechanical engineer on a missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT III program or ICBM-related experience). Current Secret Clearance or higher. Knowledge or previous experience with Air Force Operations, acquisition and sustainment programs. Experience with stakeholder integration. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proven experience with regulatory and statutory documentation requirements. Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience. Knowledge of the systems engineering process. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
