Job description

Position: MRI Technologist Department: MRI Ancillary

Essential Responsibilities:

The individual in this position must be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation:

1. Equipment Quality Control Policy- Run phantom every day to ensure magnet is operating properly.

2. Quality Assessment- Notify Appropriate personnel if there is a problem with the
MRI machine.

3. Primary Source Verification- use a name and date of birth to verify patient identification.

4. Preliminary & Final Reports- Follow up to make sure each patient has a report in a timely manner.

5. Confidentiality of information.
6. IV Contrast Agents-Screening.
7. IV Contrast Agents- Administration.
8. MRI Safety- General Requirements.
9. Employee Screening & Education.
10. MRI Patient Screening.
11. MRI Patient Screening Tool.
12. MRI Scan Exams- Patient Preparation: This includes the knowledge and ability of scanning head to toe MRI imaging following Tyler Radiology Associates protocols.
13. Acute Medical Emergency/Code Blue.

14. Fire Safety.
15. Infection Control.
16. Pregnant Employee/Patient.
17. Incident Reporting.
18. Handling Patient Complaints.
19. Ordering supplies for MRI imaging department, and maintain cost effective techniques to have cost as low as possible.
21. Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for MRI
22. Provided exceptional customer service at all times.
23. Any other duties as assigned.

General Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The person in this position will be performing light work; exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, and 0-20 pounds frequently; and /or negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects; including the human body.

Qualification Requirements:

Experience: 1 - 2 years experience in MRI Technology. Experience with GE MRI equipment preferred.

Education/License/Registration: Associate Degree in Science/ MRI Certification

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
