Summary

Exciting things are happening at Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation and our Temple plant has a unique opportunity for you to join the team and be a part of our success!

A Production Lead at MSMC works closely with the Production Manager and Production Staff. We are searching for a working lead who can also guide the actions of others in the slitter and folder operation departments.

Regular hours for this position are Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 3:00/4:00 pm. Overtime including weekends may be necessary during peak season.

You'll be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Leading and monitoring the quality and productivity of their designated work areas (slitters, folders, etc.)
• Thorough operational knowledge of the designated work areas
• Reporting daily production results to management
• Ensuring daily schedules, quality checks, housekeeping checklist, and daily maintenance duties are completed
• Other responsibilities as assigned

The most qualified candidates will have:

• At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in a roll forming or other metal forming environment
• Experience with applying quality assurance techniques, enforcing safe working procedures and training.
• Must be able to clearly communicate (both verbally and in writing)
• Associate degree or higher preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required

Work Environment:

The work environment is generally described as a manufacturing area where you are exposed to operating machinery, noise, and production byproducts. Must be able to walk, climb, and lift objects up to 75 pounds. Must be able to handle stressful situations and multi-task. Additionally, qualified candidates need to be able to work under time constraints; overtime and long hours may be required.
