GENERAL SUMMARY
Maintains operation of all Watershed & Park Operation's monitoring station equipment in the collection of Dam lake water levels, Parks river levels, site precipitation data, and flood system alert equipment. Handles assembly, fabrication and installation, and the creation of field device configurations for deployment where telemetry (weather type data collection) is needed. Performs daily monitoring of equipment operation to ensure connectivity and distribution of telemetric data between the onsite equipment and the SARA IT network. Schedules equipment repairs, updates, and/or replacement of failed devices. Assists other employees with related equipment expertise when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
- Performs on-site field equipment diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to telemetry monitoring stations; servicing numerous monitoring devices spread across multiple counties. May assists other employees in electrical equipment diagnostic or repair issues when needed.
- Analyzes and examines telemetric data from all monitoring equipment to identify issues and/or abnormalities in telemetry data. Schedules maintenance and/or repairs, that may extend beyond internal capabilities.
- Communicates with the SARA IT department to resolve any related connectivity issues.
- Performs downloading and file conversion of all station data. Maintains record files of raw data and manages dissemination of telemetrics to other department employees.
- Uses welding equipment and power tools to perform modifications to monitoring equipment mounts or the fabrication of new monitoring stations. Tests pulled equipment and contacts suppliers as needed regarding product warranties.
- Researches different types of water monitoring equipment for future updates and follows purchasing procedures to obtain pricing from vendors. Prepares related forms for approval and maintains purchase records and related files.
- Diagnosis, repairs and replaces AC current related infrastructure such as but not limited to; ballast, LED drivers, lighting fixtures and other related electrical supported components.
- Coordinates schedules and work plan to ensure available resources for new and existing installation of equipment and repairs.
- Performs related work as required.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
- This position does not directly supervise any employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- An associate degree from an ABET accredited college or university with an emphasis in engineering support and 2 years of experience in electrical or electronics; or a combination of experience and education that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Obtain CPR/First Aid Certification
- Confined space certification or obtain within one (1) year of employment
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIES

Knowledge of:
- Diagnostics and repair of low voltage electrical circuits and electronic equipment, primarily 50 volts or less.
- General understanding of AC/DC current preferred up to 240 volts.
- Welding equipment such as Mig and power tools
- Construction site safety requirements
- Basic scada functions and troubleshooting
- Programmable logic controllers
- Microsoft Office Suite
Skills and Abilities:
- Oral and written communication

- Read, analyze, and interpret drawings and specifications, and recognize any deviations
- Basic understanding of stream flow methods and cross sections
