Searching for our newest team to join the Terra brand at our upcoming location at The RIM Shopping Center, San Antonio, TX!

Terra Cafe provides customers great tasting healthy products, made fresh, in a clean and professional environment with Grab & Go convenience. We are a plant-forward coffee and juice shop with locations in San Antonio, and offer coffee + cold pressed juice, homemade nut milk, acai bowls and other healthy food options that are made fresh daily in-house! The RIM location will transition from day café to evening destination offering wine, local beer, and specialty cocktails made using our cold press juices!

Job Description

FULL TIME-SALARIED, 45+ HOURS/WK

Responsible to lead the overall operation for the coffee bar, kitchen, juicing, and beer/wine/alcohol bar departments in a positive, productive work environment

Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations

Schedule and conduct meetings with employees to discuss performance & ideas

Regularly review product quality and research new vendors & products

Inventory management to include vendor negotiations and contracts, reviewing usage reports, analyzing variances to control waste and taking corrective actions

Human resource mange to include recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, and developing assistant management and additional staff

Payroll duties

Schedule and supervise shifts for all departments

Prepare financial, marketing, and sales projections, analyses and estimate, and achieve P&L goals

Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses

Develop, organize & deliver marketing strategies, community, and guest relation programs including rooftop event programming

Maintain operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards

Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints

Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests

We would love to hear from people with:

3+ years restaurant industry management experience; previous bar experience a plus

Business management training, and military experience a plus

Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with assistant manager(s), baristas, kitchen staff, hourly team members & guests

Strong written and verbal communication skills; Spanish speaking a plus

Demonstrated working understanding of business operations and financials

Technical skills to work with basic computer program and point of sales technology

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, hands-on environment

Dependable, reliable, and motivated - must be able to attract, train & retain a top industry team

Strong customer focus mentality with the ability to delight every guest and train the team with same approach

Able to work ten-hour plus duty days; ability to climb stairs, stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods of time

Availability to work a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)

Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs

Legal authorization to work in the United States

Requirements
