Application: apply here, or on our Careers - Metronome (), email your resume to Recommend this job and share with a friend Description: Our team will be supporting Platform One's Party Bus, a managed DevSecOps Platform as a Service (PaaS) for DoD organizations. This platform allows rapid, secure development, deployment, and delivery of software applications across multiple security levels (Impact Levels 2, 4, 5, and 6). Required Skills Requirements: 1-2 Years of Experience in a DevOps or Software Engineering role, preferably with some exposure to the Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
IAT Level I Certification (such as CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent, with support to achieve IAT Level II in the future).
Key Responsibilities and Skills: Coding & Automation: Programming Languages: Familiarity with one or more languages such as Python, Go, or Java for scripting. Willingness to learn and develop scripting skills for automation tasks.
CI/CD Pipeline Basics: Basic understanding of CI/CD principles and exposure to tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI. Interest in learning more about optimizing and managing pipelines in varied development environments.
Version Control Systems: Some experience with Git (branching, merging) and exposure to version control platforms like GitLab or GitHub.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Configuration as Code (CaC): Terraform Basics: Exposure to or basic knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. Willingness to learn more about managing modules and team collaboration using Terraform.
Ansible Introduction: Familiarity with Ansible or interest in learning configuration management. Basic understanding of playbooks and roles.
Kubernetes (K8s): Some familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and a willingness to learn container orchestration, deployment, and Helm for managing applications within Kubernetes.
Containers: Basic knowledge of Docker for containerized applications, with a focus on gaining hands-on experience.
Cloud Technologies & Environments: Cloud Basics: Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers is a plus. Interest in gaining more experience with DoD-related cloud platforms like AWS GovCloud or Microsoft Azure Government.
Infrastructure Automation Fundamentals: Interest in learning about Kubernetes Operators for automating deployments in cloud environments.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Security Automation Basics: Awareness of security principles and exposure to vulnerability management tools like Twistlock, Aqua, or Anchore. Interest in integrating security practices within CI/CD workflows.
DoD Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Familiarity with DoD compliance requirements, with the opportunity to support RMF processes and understand DoD cybersecurity compliance.
