Leidos is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the IT Operations Manager to work in our San Antonio, TX office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Integrated Defensive Cyber Systems mission supporting Air Force Defensive Cyber Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex systems . This position is located near Lackland Air Force Base; all work is onsite.

Primary Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of approximately 40 personnel providing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 NOC/SOC support, cyber training, and technical writing for Air Force (AF) cyber defense systems. Regularly brief Group and Wing Commanders on system statuses and operational readiness.

Manage 24/7 work center operations supporting AF Defensive Cyber Squadrons, ensuring the functionality and availability of sensors, hardware, and software at 180 AF bases globally. Oversee centralized reporting to the Air Force Security Operations Center (SOC) and Cyber Protection Teams deployed worldwide.

Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive cyber training programs for defensive cyber airmen and internal technicians, ensuring personnel are equipped to operate PMO-provided systems effectively for cyber defense missions.

Oversee the creation of technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures, for PMO systems used by airmen and Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 technicians.

Direct the release and transition management process, ensuring smooth deployment of new hardware and software solutions, and preparing both maintenance teams and operational airmen for successful integration.

Conduct trend analysis on cyber incidents to guide the engineering team in taking proactive and corrective measures to enhance system performance.

Regularly brief Air Force commanders on the status of PMO-provided systems to ensure compliance with Air Force and CYBERCOM readiness standards.

Basic Qualifications

BA degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education

Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences at all levels.

Proven leadership abilities in managing and directing technical teams within IT or cybersecurity environments, fostering collaboration, and driving results.

Must possess an active Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with defensive cyber

Prior experience supporting Air Force Cyber or Cyber Command

IAT level III, IAM level III

ITIL foundation or higher

Prior experience with Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS) reporting for Air Force units or Joint Command and Control - Readiness (JCC2-R) reporting for CYBERCOM presented units

Prior Experience as reddit moderator, Wikipedia editor, or similar collaborative methods for updating and revising technical documents.
