Job description
This is a position for E-Spectrum Technologies, a sister company to X-Technologies Summary of Position An Electronics Technician is needed to assist in the assembly/disassembly of avionics hardware and building interface test adapters with their associated interfaces. This is a permanent position working under the direction of a Senior Technician. This position requires an individual who can work independently in a fast-paced changing environment. Travel Minimal, less than 10%. Essential Job Requirements: Assembly/Disassembly of avionics circuit cards. Soldering/Desoldering skills to assemble/disassemble electronic components for test. Experience with Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis to evaluate potential failures. Ability to read and understand electronic datasheets. Experience working with 3 phase power, component check-out, and photography (visual documentation). Ability to identify circuit board defects such as corrosion, cracks, aging issues. Assist in the assembly and wiring of a state of art Automated Test Stations that test avionics hardware. Contribute to build of Automated Test Systems consisting of commercial off the shelf test instrumentation. Ability to read electrical and mechanical assembly schematics to build testers. Removal/installation of instrumentation from Test Stations. Ability to run automatic test equipment following on-screen instructions. Assist in the assembly and build of Test Program Hardware (TPH). Prior experience building Interface Test Adapters and indoor/outdoor cable harnesses. Familiarity with the use of various crimp tools, label makers, heat guns, and general shop tools. Experience populating PCB's following schematic diagrams. Soldering through hole and surface mount components. Able to work independently. Seeking detail oriented individual willing to learn in a demanding fast-paced environment. Ability to work on multiple projects at once, and able to manage time efficiently. Able to follow engineering processes, experience redlining drawings, and familiarity with Engineering Change Orders. Must possess excellent computer skills for parts receiving and inventory tracking. Technical writing skills to assist with report generation and/or process development. Assist in manufacturing shock generators and other piece parts as needed. o Ability to lift 25 lbs. Required Experience: 2 - 5 Years of Technician Experience Familiarity with basic electrical lab equipment. Proficient in use of Digital MultiMeter (DMM), Oscilloscope, LCR, and power supplies. Knowledge of basic Analog and Digital Components. Familiar with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel. Must be capable of soldering, making cable repairs, and building new cables. Education Required: Certified Technician or 2-5 years job experience with Automatic Test Equipment. Certification Required: Certified Technician or 2-5 years experience. Additional Highly Desired Skills: Shipping/Receiving of Electrical components. Familiarity with National Instruments products such as PXI Chassis, PXI controllers, and Instrument modules. Familiar with software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and PCB layout programs. Previous electrical troubleshooting skills within US military. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs. Equipment Used: Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, LCR, Power Supplies (DC/AC), Function Generator, Force Gauge, accelerometers, Leak Detector.
