Pay Details:
Starting pay $22.00- $28.00 depending on experience

Schedule:
7:00 am - 330pm Monday - Friday

Who You Are:
Consistently demonstrate the ability to learn and independently operate assigned machines and equipment meeting or exceeding processing and quality targets.

Consistently demonstrate the ability to learn and perform proper procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.

Demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment such as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses and measuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handling equipment.

Must have the ability to diagnose process and mechanical problems in single or multiple unit processes, troubleshoot basic equipment and take corrective action within policy and procedure limitations.

Demonstrate ability to learn processes specific to the position.

Possess environmental care and concern.

Possess mathematical aptitude.

Must be process-driven, problem-solving through the use of formal processes as the main approach.

Possess knowledge of tools and equipment used to repair and maintain equipment.

Identifies and resolves problems pro-actively and promptly.

Demonstrate proficiency in the care and use of all site-specific, facility-required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).

Possesses and demonstrates the ability to perform assigned tasks in a manner that adheres to the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Security policies.

Responsibilities:
Monitor levels of or add chemicals to disinfect water or other liquids

Inspect equipment regularly

Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges

Collect and test water and waste/sewage samples

Record meter and gauge readings and operational data

Document and report test results internally and/or to regulatory agencies

Operate equipment to purify and clarify water

Operate equipment to process or dispose of chemical wastewater sewage

Operate facility processes including primary and secondary treatment

Complete required storm-water permitting

Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas

Performs minor repairs on equipment

Performs field tests in order to pace chemical dosages for the process.

Performs sampling and routine lab tests according to schedule.

Follow U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations as well as state regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the work-site

Perform General Boiler maintenance, including chemical/blow-down procedures.

Perform solid Waste Disposal duties, including Waste shipping, documentation, tracking, inspections, etc.

Ensure safety standards are met

Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; some college, associate degree, technical training or certification specific to the position preferred
