_ $2000 Bonus Eligible Position for Full-Time _

JOB DUTIES
Assess home health pediatric patient for rehabilitative and functional status.
Regularly re-evaluate the patient's/client's occupational therapy need and evaluate the outcomes of care on a regular basis.
Occupational Therapist develops, initiates, and revises the plan of care as necessary to ensure quality and continuity of care.
Identifies deficits including but not limited to strength, fine motor coordination, sensory dysfunction, motor planning and self-care, including feeding and the potential for intervention. Evaluates the home environment.
Occupational Therapist evaluates the need for and recommends DME devices and aides.
Uses infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient (OSHA).
Coordinates services. Informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient's/client's condition and needs.
Occupational Therapist demonstrates commitment and professional growth by participating in in-service programs and maintaining or improving competency.
Supervises, teaches, and provides clinical direction to other occupational therapy personnel as required or requested.
Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
Occupational Therapist provides effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited Diploma, with Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree
One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a pediatric clinical care setting preferred
Pediatric Home health experience preferred
Reliable transportation
Current Texas State license as an Occupational Therapist
Current Driver's License
