Turnkey Industries has designed and built state-of-the-art trailers and transporters for a variety of industries. We have extensive experience building technologically advanced trailers in the oil and gas industry. That same expertise is applied to every trailer we manufacture. We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as a Carpenter who provides carpentry services during the construction of customized trailers, ensuring work is delivered safely and on time. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
Work performed will be on customized trailers built from ground up. The first shifts hours are 6am-4pm, the second shift hours are 3pm 1am, Monday Friday, with weekends as job demands.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble and install building structures and fixtures, cabinets, doors, shelves, solid surface tops, laminate, drywall, ceiling tiles, and rough and finish work.
Assemble and fasten materials and hardware to make frameworks.
Shape and cut materials to specified measurements.
Inspect and make minor repairs to structures as required; remove damaged or defective parts or sections and replace them as necessary.
Following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows blueprints and standards.
Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs.
Work using machines, hand tools, power tools, wood screws, nails, glue, or saws.
Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working order and perform regular maintenance to maximize production.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow safety guidelines and perform duties in a safe manner.
Observe all safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and properly use equipment.
Maintain open communication with team members and leadership.
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two (2) or more years of carpentry experience
Must have own tools appropriate for the position
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Basic reading and writing skills
Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities
Ability to read, write, and comprehend associated documents, specifications, blueprints, and diagrams.
Knowledge of construction principals.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and read a tape measure.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines.
Demonstrate the ability to safely operate tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
Ability to follow all company safety policies, procedures, regulations, and codes.
Ability to lift and move up to lbs
Physical stamina required for position and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions heat, cold, etc.
