Overview:
At Trustpoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock, our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for 7 years and has earned The Joint Commission's Brain Injury, Stroke and Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Certification. At our 93-bed hospital, we provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to our patients, serving Lubbock and the surrounding areas. We see patients who often are recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions.

We are seeking a HIM Clerk/Technician to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications:
Required Skills:

Medical record experience in a hospital setting preferred.

OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.

Effective organizational and time management skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.

Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

Ability to work closely and professionally with others.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for assembling and maintaining patients' health information in either EMR (Electronic Medical Record or charts. Ensures all forms are completed and properly identified and signed and all necessary information is in the chart or system. Integrates the hospital's mission and "Guiding Principles" into daily practice.
