Job description

Clean Harbors is searching for a licensed, reliable and safety oriented I&E Technician to join our Deer Park, TX team! The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Ladder Logic, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Must be a licensed electrician

Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions

Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations

Maintains accurate records and logs as required

Installs new system controls (including power wiring)

Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers

Services and replaces motors and lighting

Performs general electrical maintenance

Other duties as assigned

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

HS Diploma OR Equivalent required

Required - Texas Journeyman Electrician License OR equivalent from another state

PLC Ladder Logic

VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Programming knowledge preferred

Experience reading blueprints, and electronic schematics

Proficiency reading process and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs)

Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS)

Experience with 480v and below

Lift up 50lb, climbing ladders, stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time

Must be able to work in all weather conditions
