Responsibilities:
Revolution is now hiring a Extrusion/Production Manager in Kilgore, TX. This role will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the production department in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization. The ideal candidate has excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who has strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
Plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for operation in accordance with cost, quantity, and quality specifications.
Ensure that all safety, quality, and production standards and procedures are followed.
Responsible for addressing all safety hazards reported.
Audit work area to ensure proper housekeeping.
Ensures any items on safety audits are corrected in a timely manner.
Provide leadership and guidance.
Interface with other managers to ensure company goals are met.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels through interviewing, hiring, and termination.
Coordinate efforts of department employees to achieve quantity and quality objectives to meet daily production goals.
Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to the maintenance crew.
Facilitate employee success through training, coaching, and evaluating.
Provide performance data and feedback to management teams for assessing department performance.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Capture KPI data.
Running production meetings
Coordinating all departments to ensure orders go out on time.
Assist with any issues in all production departments. This includes, personnel, maintenance, scheduling
Filling in for Plant Manager when needed. This includes covering any scheduled meetings.
Qualifications:
• Minimum high school level education.
• Education and training in production management and employee relations preferred.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience specifically in the plastics industry.
• Minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment required.
• Exceptional leadership skills, including problem resolution, motivating, development of people, servant leadership, etc.
• Experience with safety in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to plan and coordinate processes and activities to achieve production goals.
• Work flexible schedule (possibly nights, weekends, holidays) when required.
