Job description

Network Engineer

A Financial Services company is seeking to hire a Network Engineer to support network infrastructure and services for the company. They will collaborate with other IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure that the network meets the current and future needs of the organization.

LOCATION: Irving, TX 75063 / ( Primarily Remote ) MUST BE LOCAL TO DALLAS, TX

Required to be in the office two times a month for collaboration working sessions.

POSITION: Direct Hire

PAY RANGE: 140k plus Annual Bonus of 20%

Job Duties

Support and manage network architectures and solutions that align with the business objectives and requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve escalated, complex network issues and incidents in a timely and efficient manner.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices for network optimization and enhancement.

Develop and maintain network documentation, policies, procedures, and standards.

Provide network support and guidance to other IT teams and end users.

Plan strategy for network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

Research and analyze network trends and emerging technologies to ensure network alignment with industry standards and best practices.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Five years or more of progressive experience in network engineering, preferably in the financial services industry

At least (5) years public cloud experience (GCP, Azure) and demonstrate high proficiency of cloud networking and services in Azure.

High proficiency of network technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, SDWAN, LAN/WAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, QoS, VPN, VoIP, and wireless.

High proficiency of network security technologies and practices, including firewalls, IPS/IDS, NAC, encryption, authentication, and auditing.

High proficiency of network tools and systems, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, M5, Logic Monitor, Wireshark, and Kemp.
