We are currently seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist I to join our team in Irving, TX, at a leading medical center. This is a full-time position with a shift schedule from Monday through Friday, with occasional half-day work on Saturdays. We are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants. The ideal candidate will have experience performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, with additional knowledge in DEXA scans. While experience in stereotactic biopsies is preferred, it is not required. Key Responsibilities of the Mammography Technologist I:

  • Perform high-quality Breast Imaging procedures following exam protocols in a timely manner.
  • Utilize AIDET communication to ensure patient comfort and correct exam identification.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them and adjusting equipment to the correct exposure settings.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff by following infection-control, drug, and radiation protocols.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and work area cleanliness, working closely with engineers to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain patient documentation such as requisition forms, pregnancy status, and consent forms.
  • Ensure the department is secure and follow safety screening procedures for visitors.

Minimum Job Requirements for the Mammography Technologist I:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT-M Mammography certification.
  • Experience in performing Breast Imaging procedures.
  • Ability to work independently without routine oversight.
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures and ensure patient comfort.
  • Current knowledge of care for various age groups including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • First aid and emergency care proficiency, including the ability to use an emergency cart.
