We are seeking a seasoned Domain Architect for our Finance, Merchandising, and Human Resources portfolio to lead the drive the creation and adoption of architecture and technology standards across our architecture community and engineering teams. You will play a critical role in modernization and simplification of this portfolio while reducing cost and risk and improving agility and unlocking productivity for our engineers.

Your role is more than that of a traditional Domain Architect. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve the landscape and propose investments to make them a reality in partnership with our Enterprise Architects, Technology Leaders, and Business Leaders. You will influence and drive the alignment of architecture and technology objectives with our business and technology partners while providing innovative technology solutions for finance, merchandising, and human resources. You will also raise the bar for what architecture means at Foot Locker, leading and developing Solution Architects to realize our future-state vision for all of technology.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Influence

Influence senior executives across the global technology organization, translating technology strategy and objectives into technology-led initiatives that improve our business and drive strategic value.

Foster a culture of collaboration and communication across the technology landscape and Business organizations, promoting the adoption of Enterprise Architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.

Ensure alignment of our finance, merchandising, and human resources portfolios with Foot Locker's strategic architecture and technology goals.

Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives to drive strategic alignment and ensure that technology solutions seamlessly integrate with existing business processes and systems.

Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, providing expert guidance on the impact of technology investments on business outcomes.

Continuously evaluate retail, sneaker, and technology trends for emerging capabilities and solutions, making recommendations on when to introduce, adopt, deprecate, and retire.

Enterprise Architecture Expertise

Ongoing assessment of the technology landscape supporting Finance, Merchandising, and Human Resources to ensure alignment and optimization against vision, strategy, guiding principles, business/functional fit, technical/standards fit, obsolescence/lifecycle risk, financial risk, operational risk, security risk.

Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and reduce risk within your technology portfolio, working with Enterprise Architects to create business cases and investment recommendations for consideration during budgeting and prioritization exercises.

Design and implement processes and venues that drive architecture sharing, learning, and decision making within the Architecture Community, including facilitation, curation, decision-making, and, where appropriate, escalating to Enterprise Architects and impacted stakeholders

Design, author, curate, and review standard Enterprise Architecture artifacts, including guiding principles, guardrails, reference architectures, landscapes, solution overviews, solution designs, and system designs.

Create, curate, and formalize standards and solutions based on close collaboration with our community of enterprise, domain, and solution architects, including ADRs, guardrails, reference architectures, landscapes, and solution overviews/designs.

Surface solutions and architectural decisions with material enterprise impact to Enterprise Architects for further community review in Architecture Realization Forums.

Ensure quality and completeness of artifacts and supporting data in collaboration with enterprise, domain, and solution architects.

Manage of the portfolio of enterprise architecture tools, artifact repositories, and their information architecture

Provide ongoing collaborative alignment of solutions to EA vision, strategy, roadmaps, guiding principles, and standards with Solution Architects

Co-create low-level design artifacts in collaboration with Solution Architects

Coach and mentor Solution Architects and Lead Engineers on solution designs, standards, and enterprise architecture best-practices.

Perform architectural, risk, and cost assessments of new technologies entering the organization via requests for proposal and proof-of-technology/concept exercises.

Deeply understand our finance, merchandising, workforce management, and human capital management business, processes, customer problems, and desired outcomes to ensure alignment with your technology landscape, to seamlessly integrate with existing architecture.

Modernize the current environment by building cloud-native, API first, event-driven, and micro-service approaches that leverage public cloud and SaaS, and incorporate DevOps, Lean Product, and Agile principles.

Define and measure key performance metrics for your technology landscape, ensuring operational excellence and fitness for purpose, with a unique perspective inspired by sneaker culture. Drive the resolution of technical problems.

Perform research on industry standards, technologies, and trends to establish best practices that guide the design of technology solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field.

8+ years of experience designing enterprise solutions.

Proven experience and knowledge of ERP, HCM, PIM, and WFM; Oracle, Syndigo, and UKG preferred.

Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, CVOSLD).

Proven experience in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and technology portfolio management.

Public cloud experience, preferably Azure, AWS, or Google.

Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $(phone number removed) - $(phone number removed) / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
