ABOUT THE POSTION:
We are seeking a motivated Traffic Supervisor to become a key member of our Corporate Branch. The Traffic Supervisor will help supervise the shipping office personnel as well as all company drivers. This position will also oversee fleet maintenance and DOT safety compliance.

Responsibilities:
Management and Dispatch of Company delivery fleet
Supervising company drivers and communicate with them daily on issues at hand
Daily routing and route compliance of deliveries and pick-ups.
Walk the yard in morning with Drivers for load securement and answer
Review daily shipping manifest and determine a sound strategy for ensuring delivery of all scheduled orders
Consult with the Operations and Sales management when there are that loads need to be hired out to achieve full delivery of all scheduled orders to ensure freight cost is acceptable
Routinely check in with the drivers for updates and to assess progress/morale
Oversee vehicle maintenance reports and schedule repairs accordingly
Assist yearly in driver evaluations, document throughout the year any performance issues
Schedule preventive maintenance on all company owned and purchase lease delivery equipment in fleet
DOT Recording Review
Check HOS compliance daily using JJ Keller e-logs
All discrepancies and or violations will be documented and addressed with direct reports in questions
Maintain vehicle records, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation, DQ files per DOT regulations and company policies.
Help conduct, record, and file all safety meeting information.
Safety
Will be familiar with and enforce all Company Work Safety Rules.
Will report all safety concerns and violations.
Will actively participate in maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
Will help oversee driver safety meetings to ensure relevant topics are being addressed and proper documentation is being completed

Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of prior fleet dispatch experience and must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a distribution environment
Must be able to interact with all levels of management.
Must be flexible and willing to work "off schedule" when necessary
Flexibility and adaptability to assume additional responsibilities and accommodate customer requests.
Ability to work independently, often under pressure/situations within a team environment.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform a variety of tasks.
Experience in flatbed operations and load securement a plus.
