The Testing Technician will inspect and assist with testing products to ensure proper operation and quality workmanship prior to shipment.

Requirements:

• Interact with lead, supervisor and other interested parties to perform assigned work.
• Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts.
• Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
• Mentor less experienced personnel.
• Inspect products to ensure quality workmanship prior to shipment.
• Assist with product testing to ensure proper operation prior to shipment.
• Assist with demonstrating proper operation to customer, inspectors and other interested parties.
• Repair products/equipment with little to no supervision.
• Record observations, test results and make suggestions for improving products, processes.

Skills Required

• Effectively communicate with lead, supervisor, and other interested parties.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of testing and troubleshooting methods.
• Awareness and understanding of company's policies, procedures, products, and services.
• Read mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
• Use of all tools of the trade including hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
• Awareness and understanding of company's policies, procedures, products, and services.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to use hands to grasp.
• Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and twist
• Ability to sit, balance and climb ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
• Ability to carry tools.
• Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
• Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.

Requirements

• College Associates or Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical preferred.
• 1-2 years working in a related technician capacity.
• Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
