The Testing Technician will inspect and assist with testing products to ensure proper operation and quality workmanship prior to shipment.
Requirements:- Interact with lead, supervisor and other interested parties to perform assigned work.
- Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts.
- Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
- Mentor less experienced personnel.
- Inspect products to ensure quality workmanship prior to shipment.
- Assist with product testing to ensure proper operation prior to shipment.
- Assist with demonstrating proper operation to customer, inspectors and other interested parties.
- Repair products/equipment with little to no supervision.
- Record observations, test results and make suggestions for improving products, processes.
Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with lead, supervisor, and other interested parties.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of testing and troubleshooting methods.
- Awareness and understanding of company's policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Read mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
- Use of all tools of the trade including hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
- Awareness and understanding of company's policies, procedures, products, and services.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to use hands to grasp.
- Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and twist
- Ability to sit, balance and climb ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
- Ability to carry tools.
- Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
- Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.
Requirements
- College Associates or Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical preferred.
- 1-2 years working in a related technician capacity.
- Familiarity installing and troubleshooting low voltage equipment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
