SVP Specialist II - Specialist Oil, Gas and Power Broker

We will count on you to:

Lead and customize the insurance placement needs of large refinery operators, midstream, and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) companies in the US that supply the nations fuel and derivative products, identifying the best Marsh product for the client and leading the development of tailored products and solutions to address the unique business needs for large Oil & Gas clients programs. Build and maintain relationships with clients and ensure that their complex risk management needs are met. Oversee and manage large and complex accounts and bring the entire Marsh team together to formulate the procedure and go to market strategy. Work alongside both domestic capacity providers and international providers, from the London market, to create competition between these specific Oil & Gas markets, which enables us to provide/supplement the best insurance pricing and coverage options for clients. Given the limited number of U.S. carriers in the Oil, Gas, & Power market, place large complex client insurance programs into the London and European markets in order to reach the required capacity (maximum monetary limit that underwriters and markets are able to deploy on any one risk) and at the optimum premium. Leverage understanding of these markets and industry relationships to expedite the process and secure optimal result. Work cross-functionally as a subject matter expert to provide guidance for Marsh renewal and placement strategies. Contribute to client accounts: in the upstream and downstream Oil & Gas sector; for petrochemical and chemical, mid-stream companies providing transportation of critical oil and products; in utilities, for independent power producers; in the nuclear industry; and for renewable energy providers and developers. Provide individualized advice to clients based on their business strategic priorities, risk strategies, and risk management needs. Review clients exposures and loss experience and recommend customized solutions for complex clients needs, including recommending additional products and services as solutions. Develop, present, and oversee the execution of renewal and placement strategies in conjunction with Placement, Advisory Leaders and Client Executives across all zones where product, industry or account criteria dictate. Present to prospective clients, identify the need for new products, develop and suggest innovative solutions to client and client team members to gain new clients and projects. Coordinate tenders from across the U.S. in order to grow the Marsh client base and provide expertise across the risk transfer process. Use benchmarking and risk analysis tools which detail Oil & Gas market movements and trends. Drive cost effective placement. Provide advisory and brokerage services to the chemical and petrochemical industry. Oversee the production of client deliverables and deliver final placement to client to ensure quality of materials delivered to clients. Position Supervises: One (1), Assistant Vice President.

What you need to have:

Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in any field plus ten (10) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the Energy Insurance broking and risk management field in the position offered or a related position. Must have ten (10) years of experience with all of the following: Placement of insurance programs for the Downstream Energy insurance market including refineries, petrochemical plants and midstream assets; Placement of insurance programs within the London and European Insurance Markets to complement or provide competition with U.S. domestic markets; Linking relevant offices and personnel within the global broking business; Working with U.S. and international Energy underwriters and markets to provide advisory support to clients operating in this space; Account management and co-ordination of global offices for large and complex global risk management accounts; Assessing potential repercussions of tax and regulatory issues as they relate to a client's global insurance program and the placement of such programs worldwide; Designing, implementing, and placing Oil & Gas insurance programs and continued servicing of these accounts; Reviewing and assessing Policy wording to ensure clients have a bespoke product which would respond in the broadest way in the event of a loss; Presenting to board and senior-level executives. Travel requirement: 10% domestic and international travel is required to various and unanticipated company and client sites.
