Job Description:

The Senior Accounting Analyst assists with various day-to-day functions. This role supports accounting, reporting, and analysis of The company's investment portfolios, including oversight of monthly accounting close, financial statement review, monitoring financial controls, and analyzing financial data. The individual is expected to be both a leader and an individual contributor. The individual will also be responsible for identifying and refining new processes within their respective department(s). This is a unique opportunity to participate in the building of a multi-billion-dollar investment management firm.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.

Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, cash reconciliations, financial analysis, forecasts, and budgeting.

Perform analysis of financial and operational data to identify issues and opportunities and explain variances to budgets.

Oversee cash forecast for portfolio funds.

Assist with Quarterly valuations and accruals.

Prepare and review capital call notices and distribution notices to investors.

Drive use of technology and automations to improve efficiency and accuracy of data collection and results used in corporate financial and operational analysis.

Assist in preparing audit materials coordinate with external auditors during fund audits.

Other projects as needed.

Preferred Qualities:

Fund Accounting Experience

Audit Experience

Analytical skills.

Attention to detail.

PowerBi or Alteryx experience a plus.

Critical thinking.

Proven formal and informal leadership abilities.

Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements:

Ability to work with and report on large amounts of complex data.

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, inclusive of high-level of attention to detail; ability to produce error-free documents.

Bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field experience

Five+ years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
