Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager responsibility will include the supervision of maintenance technicians that cover 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift as well as Maintenance Supervisors, and will be responsible for day to day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of the Maintenance Department. This includes supporting plant facilities and equipment maintenance to produce quality products in an efficient and profitable manner; troubleshooting as well as all maintenance and repairs of equipment; Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Plans; managing the supply room; leading, developing, and training staff members; providing a team environment; working closely with other disciplines in providing world class manufacturing; assuring equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity; implementing process enhancements to improve package and flavor changeover efficiency; utilizing visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization and plant performance; tracking standard manufacturing and warehouse measures and prioritizing plant maintenance opportunities; maintaining P&L responsibility over maintenance cost centers, repair and maintenance, maintenance labor, utilities and capital improvement plans.
Shifts & Schedule: This full-time position will be supporting Days. Additional flexibility to work overtime.
Compensation: This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a biweekly cycle. Compensation is flexible and determined by the candidate's experience level.
Position Responsibilities:
- Select, supervise, develop, and build the capabilities of the maintenance supervisors and technicians.
- Ensure maintenance support is available as needed and service calls and machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor and evaluate all equipment systems for the manufacturing group and make necessary changes for continuous production improvements.
- Administer and support the plant Preventative Maintenance program and train personnel on the program while maintaining its operating effectiveness.
- Maintain ongoing training programs in all areas of manufacturing maintenance and assist in developing new programs that will improve productivity, quality, and safety.
- Remain aware and trained on all technical advancements in the area of responsibility.
- Assist and support Mechanics with expertise in equipment.
- Establish maintenance programs and procedures directed at stabilizing and improving machine operation and output.
- Proactively improve process functioning and strive for enhanced levels of efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate in conjunction with plant operations supervisory personnel, activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishment.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with production supervisors, unionized plant staff, and other departments to build effective production line teams.
- Assist in the preparation of manufacturing strategic plan and in the establishment, analysis, and submission of yearly departmental budgets.
- Implement capital expenditure programs for the plant manufacturing group and establish performance measurement systems.
- Ensure Maintenance Department compliance with all company policies and procedures.
