Overview:
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking an Income Auditor to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.

The Income Auditor will be responsible for overseeing the daily audit procedures necessary to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and balance the financial operations while providing information and assistance to the Assistant Director and Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all policies and code of conduct as specified in the Employee Handbook.

Assists in the investigation/correction of errors/discrepancies discovered in audit process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of audit completion, and prepares the daily revenue report.

Reconcile and balance taxes daily.

Prepares and input daily journal entries and uploads them into the accounting system.

Ensures adherence to all departmental and hotel guidelines, policies and procedures

Completes reconciliation and submission of credit cards to merchant vendors.

Assists in end of the month closing activities and reconciliation of clearing accounts.

Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Must be able prioritize regional, or hotel, or departmental functions in order to meet all deadlines.

Qualifications:

2 Years of previous accounting experience, luxury hotel or Forbes experience preferred.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Ability to multitask as well as handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

Strong communication skills to effectively listen, understand and clarify the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.

Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.

Pay Range:
Starting from USD $20.00/Hr.
