Overview:
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Hospitality Accounting Manager to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.

The Hospitality Accounting Manager will be responsible for bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement preparation, intercompany billing and reconciliation for multiple hotels / entities as well as special projects. The position is based in the corporate office with The Post Oak Hotel accounting team. The Hospitality Accounting Manager will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of these duties while providing information and assistance to the assigned Director or Assistant Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:
Maximize productivity, identify problem areas and assist in finding and implementing solutions.

Complete the reconciliations for bank accounts and assigned balance sheet reconciliations timely and accurately.

Complete financial journal entries and statement preparation as assigned.

Be able to complete special projects timely and accurately as assigned.

Develop a working acknowledge of accounting positions and functions and be able to perform these duties in the event of turnover, absence, or vacation at assigned properties.

Support Director and Assistant Director of Finance in ensuring hotel's compliance to all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and the proper execution of all operational taxes. Provide assistance to management in enforcing compliance on all these items.

Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotel's financial objectives.

Assist as assigned to ensure that critical operational procedures are accomplished on a daily basis to include credit card reconciliation and transmission, daily deposits, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, payroll, records retention, and employee records.

Continually focus on training and development programs for the accounting associates to cultivate the "brightest" and "best talent within the industry.

4+ years of experience

Qualifications specific to role

Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred

Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.
