Raytheon Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department is looking for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer - Product Owner (PO). The Software Product Owner will lead in the accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment . The y will communicate and work closely with the Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL), Chief Product Owner (CPO), their team, the customer , and other Product Owners in support of a missile system development activity. The Product Owner will provide technical direction and lead a team of engineers to plan, assign, status, and guide all Agile tasks across the team.

The Product Owner attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and key stakeholders and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of projects, provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required, provide document reviews, and resolve technical software engineering and integration issues.

This position is a full-time onsite position located in our Tucson, AZ

What You Will Do

  • Work in a team environment developing software applications

  • Decompose program capabilities into actionable features

  • Define backlog priorities for a scrum team based on program requirements and schedule

  • Work in an Agile or DevOps development environment , being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Systems, Integration and Verification teams

  • Demonstrate ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customers , and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects)

  • Provide presentations to communicate status to program leadership and the customer

  • Use Microsoft Office suite of resources to produce documentation to facilitate program leadership and customer discussions and decisions

  • Manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of engineering experience.

  • Experience including at least two of the following: Embedded Software, Embedded Software Security, Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks, etc), Software Architecture Design and Implementation

  • Experience with C, C++, Python or other related objected oriented design languages

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • SAFe Certified

  • Systems Security Engineering experience

  • Agile and Scrum experience

  • Experience with Git, Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, and Jenkins.

  • Experience as a Scrum Master

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
