  • Support Staff: MA/LVN, Office Assistant, Practice Manager

Additional Questions:

  • Typical cases they will be helping? Outpatient and inpatient general gastroenterology
  • How many surgeons are they supporting? 2 general surgeons
  • Are there any other apps to help with the workload? 1 app
  • Hospital volume? Between 4 and 10 inpatient
  • Who will be following up on the patients? GI physician will follow patients in the hospital until discharged.
  • The 7a-6p seems to be long hours for just an outpatient clinic. Is this a surgery center so he is doing procedures all Monday-Thursday? OR is it clinch and inpatient rounds Monday-Thursday? The current provider performs scopes every morning essentially starting at 0730 alternating days between The Woodlands and SWV. His clinic schedule goes from 2pm to 4pm Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday. (The alternating Weds he only does his more complicated scopes at the Woodlands, no clinic) He has clinic from 930 am to 4 pm on Thursdays, occasionally he will add on a procedure before or after clinic on Thursday, but rarely. No clinic on Fridays, he only scopes at SWV on Fridays starting at 730 or 8 usually until early afternoon.

  • Are there any inpatient responsibilities on Monday-Thursday OR exclusively in the outpatient GI clinic and outpatient GI center? Inpatient responsibilities during the week are usually after being on call in most cases.
  • Is the APP listed as support just for Monday-Thursday? Or also assists with call? Saturday and Sunday at the hospital is mentioned as rounding, typically this is considered call, would this be 24 hour call for the weekend and if so do you have an average # of call back hours or rounding you expect at the facility? The APP is outpatient clinic only Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday rounding would be either due to Hospital on call coverage, or Weekend Clinic coverage. Currently we have 2 Dr's that alternate Weekend Clinic coverage. I do not have an average # of callback but I can get that answer.
