Estimator Job Summary

We are seeking an Estimator to be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for industrial projects, including maintenance, turnarounds, and construction activities. This role involves analyzing project requirements, interpreting technical drawings, and collaborating with various teams to develop accurate and competitive estimates. The Estimator will play a critical role in ensuring that company bids are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with company standards and client expectations.

Estimator Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other expenses, for industrial maintenance, construction, and turnaround projects.
• Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client specifications and company standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and potential cost-saving measures associated with each project estimate.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to better understand project requirements and site conditions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, labor rates, and industry best practices to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Assist in post-bid reviews and project handovers, providing detailed explanations and documentation to project teams.

Estimator Position Requirements

• 5+ years of estimating experience in Drywall & acoustical ceiling industry
• Proven track record in performing accurate cost estimations, labor assessments, and material takeoffs
• Experience estimating for exterior facades, doors and hardware, specialty ceilings, acoustical panels in addition to drywall
• Must have OnCenter Software experience
