Job description

• Role is primarily a field management position, generally overseeing projects and ensuring the success of each, and is the leader of the project(s)
• The Superintendent should be capable of managing large and complex projects, should be capable of managing multiple lesser projects, and should have demonstrated ability to manage through subordinate staff

• Working for a reputable General Contractor with local projects and consistent customers in Houston, TX.
• Strong Commercial project pipeline with a focus on mixed commercial projects such as: Faith-based projects, K-12, Private Schools, Commercial, Municipal, Industrial/Aviation
• Provide Preconstruction, Construction and Post-Construction services
• Majority of work at the moment is K-12/Municipal work
• Top 5 in the private Construction industry in Houston, TX

Description

• Fluently read and interpret specifications and plans.
• Supervise work of subcontractors and laborers.
• Ensure timely ordering, delivery, and storage of materials on the job site.
• Maintain accurate drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Create and oversee punch lists and ensure completion of all related work prior to inspections.
• Identify and communicate issues to the construction team.

Profile

• 6+ years in Commercial Construction specializing in commercial construction including publicly funded projects
• Strong oral communication and written skills.
• Ability to successful manage all aspects of commercial projects including schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion.
• Collaboration with other Superintendents and the Team to develop, refine, and update project schedules to ensure all milestones are identified and tracked.
