The Manufacturing Solutions group within The Test Equipment Engineering directorate is seeking an onsite CCA Manufacturing Engineer in Tucson, Arizona to manage and lead the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment, specifically Circuit Card Assemblies and Printed Wiring Boards.
The Manufacturing Engineer will plan, procure, manage, and resolve issues related to the design and manufacturing of CCAs and PWBs based on a broad knowledge of their design and fabrication. The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize Engineering Manufacturing Management System (EMMS) to generate work orders, build/maintain indentured build of materials (IBOMS), generate material requisitions, and provide material/work order status to customers.
What You Will Do
- Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of CCAs/PWBs
- Participate in CCA/PWB engineering design reviews
- Manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records
- Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets
- Resolve complex manufacturing issues and oversee delivery of final products to internal/external customers
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment area
- Experience interpreting CCA/PWB engineering drawings/schematics
- Experience with CCA/PWB design and manufacturing process
- Experience creating Technical Data Packages for manufacturing
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience interfacing with suppliers/vendors for quoting and issue resolution
- Knowledge of IPC and J-Standards
- Knowledge of CCA component substitution/equivalent alternate parts
- Knowledge of cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures, Interface Test Adapter (ITA), and final assembly and inspection of completed test systems
- Experience working in an engineering environment focused on CCA/PWB test equipment or prototype engineering hardware
- Experience dealing with supply chain and material obsolescence issues
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced teaming environment.
- Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and take direction from Project Managers from multiple programs
