Job Number 676376BR Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Design Engineer for the F-35 Control Surface and Edge (CS&E) engineering team. Responsibilities for the position include:
- Perform and review airframe structural configuration layouts and detail designs including structural layouts, preliminary sizing, joint layouts and part design with CATIA v5, utilizing metallic and composite materials
- Execute and review changes to CATIA models, drawings and other supporting documents in support of the product
- Provide leadership and tasking for F-35 Fort Worth Control Surfaces & Edges Structural Design Engineers, provide Field Support to the F-35 Fleet
- Coordinate and manage suppliers, both domestic and international
- Interface with various customers and internal Lockheed management Prior experience with aircraft control surfaces, control surface seals, low signature edge design and aperture integration a plus. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical - Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool - Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Microsoft Office skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CATIA V5 Fibersim - Experience with metallic and composite design - PDM Tool Familiarization - Excellent written and oral communication skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
