Job description

Job Summary:

Performs system administration duties for Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other related services. Assists the Network Administrator team with projects and support as time permits. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains Microsoft 365 solutions. Collaborates with various departments to understand their requirements and translates them into effective Microsoft 365 solutions. Maintains the quality, timeliness, operations, and cost-effectiveness of Microsoft 365 application development efforts while also overseeing network administration tasks such as configuring and maintaining Microsoft 365 network infrastructure, managing user accounts and access permissions, monitoring network performance, and ensuring network security and compliance with policies and standards.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Work Experience:

Three years of experience as a Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 Administrator, including experience in a network administration role.

Proven experience in Microsoft Office 365 administration, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Experience with Office 365 migration, upgrade, and hybrid environments.

License/Registration/Certification:

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD), CompTIA Project+ Certification, CompTIA Network+, CIW Site Development Associate Certification, EC-Council Certified Secure Programmer (ECSP) for SharePoint preferred.

Education and Training:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.

Skills:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts and computing infrastructures
  2. Proficiency in administering Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and other related tools.
  3. Strong understanding of Office 365 architecture, including tenant setup, security & compliance, and service integrations.
  4. Strong background and knowledge in PowerShell scripting, Azure AD, Microsoft Graph API, and other supporting technologies such as MS SQL Server, HTML, XML, and various web services.
  5. Ability to setup and configure server hardware
  6. Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  7. Highly effective written and oral communication skills are required.
  8. Proficient in creative problem solving and strong analytical skills.
  9. Ability to handle stressful situations, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  10. Ability to work in a consultative manner (prior consulting experience a plus).
  11. Must be self-motivated, analytical, a good troubleshooter and goal oriented.
