We are currently seeking a Senior Healthcare Construction Project Manager in Dallas, Texas who has worked on projects that involve renovations and/or additions to Health Science Centers.

JOB SCOPE:

Primary project liaison with campus staff, manage projects from initiation through completion of construction. Facilitate timely decisions by campus representatives and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders.

Manage facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input. Resolve conflicts and facilitate decisions to ensure project goals are met.

Manage planning, design, execution of projects by providing project leadership, communication, and coordination.

Responsible for leading meetings with owner, architects and contractors as well as providing leadership in client relations.

Responsible for project budget, scheduling, and procurement of design and construction services. Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality; and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift.

Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements. Facilitate timely review of contract documents by engineers and consultants at schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of the work.

Review and approve design, construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, guaranteed maximum price submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc.

During construction, direct and/or provide support to Resident Construction Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in management of construction activities and processes.

Apply project control processes to track progress; for consistency; to mitigate risks; and to assure compliance.

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering related fields.

Minimum of seven years' experience providing professional project management and leadership with healthcare vertical experience.

Must have solid construction in health science and healthcare experience.

Experience working on multiple large healthcare projects within the construction industry.

SALARY RANGE: $120-$140K DOE

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.

Other Requirements:

Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record.

Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates.

May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends.
