Job description

• Only qualified Data Security Administrator candidates located near the Dallas, TX; Nashville, TN; or Peoria, IL areas to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence

The SOC (Security Operations Center) is a critical component of CSIRT (Cyber Security Incident Response Team). Data Security Administrators on the SOC are responsible for the continuous monitoring and response to security alerts and events that occur within Clients global network. This includes investigating Malware alerts, Phishing emails, anomalous activity, and anomalous network traffic. The SOC also takes necessary action to remediate these events.

Education & Experience Required:

  • No degree required

  • 5+ years of SOC/Cybersecurity experience.

    Required Technical Skills:

  • At least 3 years working in IT (Information Technology) Security

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Security Operations Center

  • At least 2 years of experience with SIEM solutions

  • At least 1 year of experience with EDR solutions

    Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, or Green Card holder

  • Proven critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems

  • Proven ability to learn new tools, processes, and technical concepts quickly

    Typical task breakdown:

  • Monitor SIEM for security alerts

  • Investigate alerts with various Security tools

  • Take necessary steps to remediate security issues

  • Monitor the Phishing inbox, investigate and respond to all reported emails

  • Inspect file attachments and links for potential malware

  • Investigate network alerts through the IDS tool

  • Ensure accurate case notes are recorded

    Interaction with team:

  • 24/7 teams, 3 shifts. Tier 1 SOC analyst

  • Team consists of roughly around 31 folks as of now

    Work environment:

    Hybrid working model
