Job Summary:

The Senior Logistics Specialist will play a key leadership role in achieving business goals and optimizing logistics processes within the organization.

The role involves coordinating and optimizing inbound, domestic, and outbound shipments, as well as overseeing shipping documentation, inventory levels, and cost reduction strategies.

The Senior Logistics Specialist will lead a team to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution, while continuously working on process improvement and cost-cutting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and optimize all inbound, domestic, and outbound shipments for the facility.

Create and manage shipping documents (P/L, Pro forma invoices) in Oracle, FAD (for U.S. shipments), and monitor finished goods inventory levels.

Schedule, coordinate, and plan logistics activities, continuously focusing on cost-cutting opportunities.

Identify and reduce cost and process variations by developing strategies and applying Six Sigma tools and tactics.

Define, scope, and select projects to positively impact logistics costs.

Conduct regular project reviews with leaders and stakeholders to ensure key results are achieved.

Communicate progress, status, and issues to cross-functional teams, business leaders, and project champions.

Lead a team of logistics project coordinators to meet or exceed customer schedule and delivery requirements.

Monitor and update the team plan to schedule and coordinate equipment needs.

Drive formal project reviews before shipment to ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Ensure that critical project milestones are recognized, tracked, and achieved in both time and cost.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with 3-4 years of experience in a logistics role.

Prior experience in managing change and implementing new processes.

Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.

Proven ability to lead and direct multi-functional teams.

Capability to work effectively in high-stress situations.

Strong planning and program management skills with forecasting abilities.

Six Sigma training and certification.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
